Manheim embodies the German heritage its founder, Henry Wilhelm Stiegel, imparted in 1760.  Early log cabin style homes as well as late Victorian and 20th century style influences can be seen throughout the town.

The town is home to B&Bs, cozy neighborhood restaurants and a beautiful town square, which Manheim's close-knit community uses for various events throughout the year.

Located along Route 72, Manheim is still a trading center for farmers in the area.  It's also home to the Manheim Auto Auction, one of the largest wholesale auto auctions in the world, and the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.
