Landisville
Landisville is named for John Landis, the first postmaster of the town. It's also the home of the Amos Herr House, a local attraction that pays homage to the impact of the Landisville community on one family. Donated to the township by Amos Herr, a lifelong resident and teacher within the community, the Herr House has become part of the Township Municipal complex. In keeping with the general structure of the home, the township barn, with its stone gable ends, remains a classic example of mid-nineteenth century Lancaster County barn architecture.
